In May 2025, Maria was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor (C71.9 Neoplasma malignum cerebri, non specificatum) after symptoms of the disease appeared in the form of severe headaches accompanied by diplopia, new-onset strabismus and dizziness.

After the VP shunt was placed, the headaches decreased, and the ph test confirmed that it was a High grade diffuse glioma.

After the surgical treatment, a brain hemorrhage occurred, Maria was unconscious for 6 days, intubated in the intensive care unit. There was hearing loss, unsteadiness that worsened as well as slurred speech.

Treatment continued with radio and chemotherapy.

It is necessary for Maria to raise the funds needed to continue the treatment as soon as possible, so she is appealing to all generous people to help her with their donations.

Funds are needed for continued treatment, operative treatment, radiation, chemotherapy, specialist examinations, laboratory analyses, travel and accommodation costs during the treatment.
