Fatima was diagnosed with: spastic (convulsive) paralysis of two symmetrical limbs (Paraplegia spastica G82.1 St post myelitis transversa in morbo demyelinisatio sistematicus nervosi centralis); Acute transverse inflammation of the spinal cord in demyelinating disease of the CNS (G37.3 Myelitis transversa acuta in morbo demyelinisato sistematis nervosi centralis); Other specified urinary incontinence (N39.4 Incontinentia urinae alia, specificata); Chronic intolerable pain (R52.1 Dolor intolerabilis chronicus); Moderate depressive episode (F32.1 Episodium depressivum, gradus moderati) and Anxiety generalized disorder (F41.1 Disordo anxiosus generalisatus).

Fatima began treatment in 2020 at the Department of Neurology at the General Hospital in Subotica, due to transverse myelitis, which manifested itself as spastic quadriparesis. During hospitalization, she had a pulmonary thromboembolism, and after discharge, inpatient physical treatment was performed, which was partially effective, and she recovered to the extent that she can function independently at home in a wheelchair. In June 2024, a control MR of CTH and LS of the spine was made, on which atrophy of the myelin from C7 to the lower edge of Th12 with a total diameter of 4 cm was described, where the myelin was markedly thinned with an AP diameter of 2-2.5 mm with sequelae of an earlier inflammatory or demyelination process, as well as degenerative changes in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar segments of the spine.

Funds are needed for the continuation of treatment abroad, specialist examinations, laboratory analyses, physical therapy, procurement of medical technical aids, medicines, travel and accommodation expenses during the treatment abroad.
