In 2013, Sanja was diagnosed with chronic inflammatory kidney syndrome (N03.1- Syndroma nephriticum chronicum, glomerulonephritis focalis et segmentalis), in 2019 she was diagnosed with aortic dissection (I71.0 Dissecto aortae) and then with the diagnosis: Aneurysm of the thoracic-abdominal part of the aorta, without mention of rupture (I71.6 Aneurysma aortae thoracoabdominalis non ruptum) and Chronic kidney disease, grade 5 (N18.5 Morbus renalis chronicus, grade 5).

Due to problems with the aorta, kidney treatment was impossible, while operative treatment of the aorta was not recommended due to possible complications.

Sanja has hope for recovery in the continuation of treatment abroad at clinics where operative treatment of the aorta and kidney transplantation would be performed, but this type of treatment requires significant financial resources, which she is unable to provide,  therefore she is appealing to all generous people to help with their donations.

Funds are needed for kidney transplantation, operative treatment of the aorta, laboratory tests, specialist examinations, medicines, supplements, travel and accommodation expenses during the treatment.
