Aleksa was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (G80.0 Paralysis cerebralis spastica quadriplegica) that was caused by lack of oxygen at birth and had second degree hemorrhage of the brain.

From the earliest Aleksa had global developmental delay, facial dysmorphia with epicanthus, microcephaly, glaucoma, and sensorineural deafness. Genetic testing was performed and microduplication of 16p 11.2 was identified as a possible cause of the disease.

Aleksa does not walk independently, does not speak and wears hearing aids. He is included in the pre-school program within the special school where defectology treatments, kinesis treatments and sensory integrative therapy are carried out.

Considering the high costs of treatment, the help of all humane people’s  donations is needed in order to improve Aleksa's health.

Funds are needed for physical, motor and occupational therapy, speech therapy and defectology treatments, supplements, orthopedic aids, specialist examinations and spa treatment.
