In June 2024, Aleksandar had a colonoscopy, after which it was discovered that he was suffering from a malignant tumor of the twisted part of the large intestine (C18.7 Neoplasma malignum coli sigmoidis). In July of the same year, he was operated on.

Aleksandar received 8 cycles of chemotherapy, which ended in April 2025.

Despite the treatment carried out, PET CT showed the presence of metastatic changes in the bones, which indicates the need for further treatment abroad. Planned treatment represents the only hope for recovery, reducing the risk of further spread of the disease and preserving the quality of life.
