In 2017, Jovana noticed a change on the mole on her left shoulder, which was completely removed in 2018. She was diagnosed with melanoma of the arm, including the shoulder (C43.6 Melanoma malignum extremitatis superioris, regionem omae includens).

Metastatic changes were observed after 6 months.

In July 2024, a greater number of changes were observed in the brain and lungs.

In March 2025, Jovana was admitted to the University Clinical Center of Serbia to the neurosurgery clinic due to the MRI verified existence of newly formed secondary deposits, in a condition after four previously performed radioneurosurgical treatments with the Gamma Knife at the neurosurgery clinic of the Clinical Center of Serbia and for the planned fifth.

She was also diagnosed with secondary malignant tumor of the brain and meninges (C79.3 Neoplasma malignum secundarium cerebri et meningium cerebri).

It is necessary for Jovana to continue her treatment abroad in January 2026, where she would receive personalized therapy as well as immunotherapy. Given that costs for this type of treatment are high, the help of all humane people’s donations is needed.

Funds are needed for personalized vaccines, therapies, specialist examinations, diagnostic examinations, translation of medical documents and travel expenses during the treatment.
