Vasilije was born in the 34th week of pregnancy with accompanying complications so he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy(G80.9 Paralysis cerebralis non specificata).

On the first day, he had neonatal convulsions. The MR findings corresponded to a severe degree of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy with white matter, cortex, thalamus, and brainstem involvement in preterm infants. Renal failure also occurred. Due to deterioration, he was transferred to the Healthcare Institute for Mothers and Children of Serbia where he spent 3 days on mechanical ventilation, then on NIV, while he spent 7 days on oxygen therapy.

At 3 months, the implementation of intensive physical therapy, treatment at the Institute and in a special hospital for cerebral palsy and developmental neurology began.

In the following period, intensive work is needed to improve sensorimotor abilities. Considering the high costs of treatment, the help of all humane people’s donations is needed.

Funds are needed for physical and hydrotherapy, specialist examinations, laboratory analyses, rehabilitation, psychological treatments, speech therapy and defectology treatments.
