Luka was born in the  37.4 th week of pregnancy by emergency caesarean section. After birth, he was transferred to Healthcare Institute for Mothers and Children of Serbia  where he was treated for 20 days. Mechanical ventilation was applied for 2 days after birth, then O2 th via cannula for another 4 days after which he became respiratory stable.

Soon after he was diagnosed with spastic hemiplegic cerebral palsy (G80.2 Paralysis cerebralis spastica hemiplegica), other marked congenital anomalies of the brain (Q04.8 Malformationes cerebri congenitae aliae, specificatae) and arteriovenous malformation of precerebral vessels (Q28.0 Malformatio vasorum arteriovenosorum praecerebralium).

At the age of 3 months, Luka was included in intensive physical, occupational and hydrotherapy, while at the age of 20 months, the implementation of speech therapy treatments began. The plan is also to introduce defectological treatments. In the following period, intensive work is needed to improve sensorimotor abilities. Considering the high costs of therapy and rehabilitation, humane people’s donations are necessary.

Funds are needed for physical therapy, hydrotherapy, speech therapy and defectology treatments, specialist examinations, and laboratory analyses.
