In November 2025, Sergej was diagnosed with acute myeloblastic leukemia (C92.0 Leukaemia myeloblastica acuta [AML]).

Treatment began with three cycles of chemotherapy, with a fourth cycle yet to follow.

After the completion of the fourth cycle of therapy, the plan is to continue treatment abroad, where a bone marrow transplant will be performed.

Significant financial resources are required for the continuation of treatment, which the family is unable to provide on their own, so the support of all people of good will is needed through donations.

Funds are needed for a bone marrow transplant, specialist examinations, follow-up check-ups, laboratory analyses, translation of medical documentation, laboratory analyses, physical therapies, travel expenses, and accommodation costs during treatment.
