is raising funds for Teodora Smiljanić (2025)

Teodora was born at 37 weeks of gestation from a properly monitored twin pregnancy. After birth, she was placed in an incubator with supplemental oxygen therapy. She was diagnosed with Down syndrome, unspecified (Q90.9 Syndroma Down, non specificatum), as well as Tetralogy of Fallot – a heart anomaly caused by a primary embryological disorder, with anterosuperior deviation of the ventricular outlet septum (AV canalis completa, Sy Fallot, insufficient common AV valve).

Due to her heart condition, physical therapy was limited.

In the coming period, Teodora needs to be included in physical, speech (logopedic), and special education (defectological) treatments, as well as the BDA program. As she shows delays primarily in cognitive development, further neurological examinations and continuation of treatment abroad are planned.

Teodora is always smiling, which gives her parents the strength to persevere in their efforts to help her progress and become as independent as possible. Given that this type of treatment involves high costs, the support of all people of good will is needed through donations.

Funds are needed for speech and special education treatments, physical therapies, rehabilitation, specialist examinations, BDA therapies, orthopedic aids, a TheraTogs suit, supplements, treatment abroad, travel expenses, and accommodation costs during treatment.
