Basic kidney disease (N18.5 Morbus renalis chronicus, grade 5) was diagnosed by VUR at the age of six, so Aleksandra was on a regular hemodialysis program from 1990 to 1997.

At the age of 21, a cadaveric kidney transplant was performed. Everything was fine until the respiratory infection that occurred in December 2025, after which Aleksandra's health rapidly deteriorated and the transplanted kidney failed. In January 2026, she was hospitalized in the Clinical Center of Serbia due to thermal insufficiency of the graft and preparation for a chronic hemodialysis treatment program, and an AV fistula was implanted.

It is necessary for Aleksandra to undergo a kidney transplant at a clinic abroad as soon as possible.

Given that costs of this type of treatment are high, the help of all humane people’s donations is needed.

Funds are needed for kidney transplants, specialist examinations, laboratory analyses, medicines, supplements, rehabilitation, as well as travel and accommodation costs during the treatment.
