is raising funds for Milorad Vrcelj (1980)

Milorad has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (G35 Sclerosis Multiplex) – a chronic, progressive neurological disease that affects the central nervous system and leads to a gradual deterioration of motor and other functions.

The disease manifested in 2020 with the onset of weakness in the lower extremities and difficulty walking, with a gradual progression of symptoms. Today, Milorad has difficulty moving and is able to walk only short distances with the help of a cane, while weakness, unsteadiness, and fatigue are present on a daily basis. There is also a feeling of stiffness and heaviness in the legs, along with occasional pain and vision problems.

During the course of treatment so far, various therapies have been administered, including high-efficacy immunomodulatory therapy (ocrelizumab), with occasional improvements but also worsening of the disease.

Given the nature of the illness and the high cost of treatment, the support of all compassionate people is necessary in order to enable Milorad to continue treatment, slow the progression of the disease, and improve his quality of life.

Funds are needed for HSCT treatment, specialist examinations, travel expenses, and accommodation costs during treatment.
