is raising funds for Helena and Staša Krunić (2019)

Helena and Staša have been diagnosed with cerebral palsy – spastic quadriplegia (G80.0 Paralysis cerebralis quadriplegica), a severe form that significantly affects their mobility and overall development. They were born prematurely from a twin pregnancy, with very low birth weight and numerous complications at birth, including respiratory and neurological problems.

Their medical condition is further burdened by associated diagnoses, including intracranial hemorrhages, convulsions in the neonatal period, developmental difficulties, as well as strabismus. There is also significantly delayed psychomotor development, with impaired movement control, muscle spasms, and the need for constant assistance.

Helena and Staša are functionally limited – they walk with assistance, with pronounced difficulties in balance and coordination. They require daily care, help with basic activities, as well as continuous physical therapy. So far, they have been included in intensive treatments, but continuous therapy is necessary for further progress.

Given the severity of their diagnoses and the long-term treatment process, significant financial resources are necessary to ensure continuity of therapy, improvement in functionality, and a better quality of life.

Funds are needed for physical therapy.
