The humanitarian foundation BUDI HUMAN – Aleksandar Šapić
is raising funds for Avram Simić (2022).

Avram was born prematurely in the 36th week of gestation and, from the very beginning of his life, has faced numerous health challenges. He has been diagnosed with a neonatal brain disorder caused by lack of oxygen and ischemia (P91.6 Encephalopathia hypoxica ischaemica neonati), a disorder of muscle tone in a newborn, unspecified (P94.9 Morbus toni musculorum neonati, non specificatus), a unilateral inguinal hernia without obstruction or gangrene, unspecified (K40.9 Hernia inguinalis unilateralis, non incarcerata, non gangraenosa, non specificata), as well as respiratory problems requiring regular inhalation therapy and continuous monitoring of his growth, development, and neurological status.

Avram is undergoing regular physical therapy and is receiving prescribed treatment. He is continuously monitored by doctors of various specialties – neurologists, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists, and a pediatrician. Neurosonographic findings indicate changes that require further observation and additional check-ups. Due to pronounced respiratory difficulties, the use of a breathing assistance device (CoughAssist) has also been recommended.

Given that his condition requires long-term and continuous treatment, the costs of which exceed the family’s financial capabilities, they are reaching out to all compassionate people for help.

Funds are needed for therapies, medications, supplements, physical treatments, specialist and follow-up examinations, diagnostics, laboratory analyses, medical consumables, diapers, as well as for the purchase of medical equipment.
