Jelena Nešić suffers from end-stage chronic kidney failure (Z49.1 – extracorporeal dialysis), with accompanying diagnoses: arterial hypertension (I10), mitral valve prolapse, nodular goiter, liver hemangioma (under observation), PCOS (under observation), and iron deficiency anemia (D50.0).

Her kidney disease first manifested during pregnancy in 2010, after which there was a progressive deterioration of kidney function. Since June 2023, Jelena has been on a hemodialysis program twice a week, which sustains her vital functions.

Based on extensive diagnostic evaluations, no contraindications for a cadaveric kidney transplant have been identified at this time. Further immunological testing (HLA typing and cytotoxic antibodies) has been recommended, along with placement on the kidney transplant waiting list. Jelena remains under regular monitoring and supervision by a nephrologist, with a recommendation to continue both the dialysis and transplant program.

Funds are needed for a follow-up examination including three hemodialysis sessions and hospitalization at a hospital abroad, kidney transplantation, and quarterly blood serum analyses.
