is raising funds for Nikola Milošević (2020)

Since early childhood, Nikola has been facing serious neurological difficulties. He has been diagnosed with epilepsy (G40.9 – Epilepsia, non specificata), unspecified cerebral infarction (I63.9 – Infarctus cerebri, non specificatus st. post), and congenital muscle hypertonia (P94.1 – Hypertonia musculorum neonati congenita).

These diagnoses are the result of multiple lacunar ischemic lesions of the thalamus and basal ganglia, accompanied by occasional hemorrhages, as confirmed by follow‑up MRI scans.

Due to these brain injuries, Nikola is at increased risk of epileptic seizures, motor difficulties, and developmental delays. He requires continuous neurological monitoring, regular diagnostic evaluations, and therapies that help him maintain and improve his functional abilities. Follow‑up MRI of the brain shows persistent cystoid changes in the basal ganglia and thalamus, corresponding to brain growth, as well as chronic consequences of previous ischemic events. Nikola remains under constant supervision of specialists and must continue prescribed therapy to prevent further deterioration.

The family is appealing to all kind‑hearted people for help in raising funds so that Nikola can continue the treatment and rehabilitation essential for his development and a better quality of life.

Funds are needed for regular physical therapy, special education and speech therapy treatments, specialist examinations, and medications.
