is raising funds for the treatment of Mina Pavić (2021),

who suffers from spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy (G80.0 – Paralysis cerebralis spastica quadriplegica) and multicystic leukomalacia of the brain (P91.2 – Leukomalacia cerebri neonati), resulting from premature birth and severe respiratory distress.

Mina was born at 31/32 weeks of gestation, weighing 1850 grams. Immediately after birth, she was admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit, intubated due to respiratory distress, and later treated with non‑invasive ventilatory support and phototherapy. Ultrasound and neurological findings indicate severe sequelae of ischemic–anoxic brain injury, leading to significant motor and psychomotor developmental delay.

She cannot sit or stand independently. She sits with support, moves with the help of neurological wheelchairs, and has only partially established head control. Muscle tone varies from hypotonia to pronounced spasticity. Both feet are held in an equinovarus position; she wears lower‑leg orthoses and uses a wheelchair with special adjustments. Continuous physical therapy and stimulative treatments are essential.

Despite her severe diagnosis, Mina shows progress: she speaks words, forms short sentences, uses her hands more than before, remembers songs, interacts better, and increasingly expresses her needs. She regularly attends rehabilitation with a physiatrist and speech therapy sessions. She is also monitored by an ophthalmologist due to astigmatism and esotropia, with recommended occlusion therapy.

Funds are needed for physical therapy, speech therapy, stem‑cell treatments, ophthalmology and specialist examinations, robotic neurorehabilitation, hydrotherapy, and surgical fibrotomy procedures.
