is raising funds for Ana Ristić (1994).

Following a traffic accident on May 8th, 2025, Ana was diagnosed with paraplegia (G82.2 – Paraplegia non specificata).

Her medical documentation also confirms multiple associated injuries: lumbar spine fracture (S32.0 – Fractura vertebrae lumbalis), mandibular fracture (S02.6 – Fractura mandibulae), cervical spine fracture (S12.2 – Fractura vertebrae cervicalis), thoracic spine fracture (S22.0 – Fractura vertebrae thoracalis), pneumothorax (J93.9 – Pneumothorax non specificatus), chest contusion (S20.2 – Contusio thoracis), and scalp injury (S00.0 – Laesio traumatica capilliti superficialis).

After initial emergency treatment at the General Hospital in Šabac, diagnostic procedures confirmed a comminuted burst fracture of L1 with absolute spinal canal stenosis, fractures of C6, Th9, and Th10, pneumothorax, and pleural effusion. Ana was then transferred to the Military Medical Academy (VMA), where she underwent posterolateral spondylodesis Th11–L3 and laminectomy L1, as well as mandibular osteosynthesis (May 15th). Following treatment at VMA, she continued recovery at the General Hospital in Sremska Mitrovica, then at the Clinical Center of Vojvodina, and later underwent long-term rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Clinic “Dr Miroslav Zotović” in Belgrade. A complete spinal cord lesion – ASIA A was confirmed, with absence of voluntary sphincter control.

During rehabilitation, Ana achieved functional improvement: independent wheelchair mobility, independent transfers, preserved upper‑limb strength, flaccid paralysis of the lower limbs, initial quadriceps contraction, verticalization with orthopedic supports, and training in intermittent catheterization.

Funds are needed for revision surgery, robotic neurorehabilitation, and orthopedic and medical assistive devices.
