The Humanitarian Foundation BUDI HUMAN – Aleksandar Šapić is raising funds for Vuk Marjanović (2015).

Vuk has been diagnosed with a malignant tumor of the cerebellum (C71.6 Neoplasma malignum cerebelli), pathohistologically confirmed as medulloblastoma, CNS WHO grade 4, classic type (Medulloblastoma, typus classicus, Non‑WNT/Non‑SHH).

The disease manifested in 2022, when he began experiencing morning headaches, vomiting and neurological symptoms. After complete diagnostic evaluation, obstructive hydrocephalus (G91.1 Hydrocephalus obstructivus) and a tumor of the fourth ventricle were identified.

Vuk was hospitalized at the end of October 2022, when a ventriculoperitoneal shunt (VP shunt) was first implanted, followed by tumor resection on 14 November 2022. Postoperatively, he developed cerebellar mutism syndrome, resulting in significant loss of motor and speech functions. According to the decision of the CNS tumor board, combined oncological treatment was administered — 12 cycles of chemotherapy and 34 fractions of radiotherapy.

During 2023, a small metastatic lesion was detected, after which additional therapy was provided. Since December 2023, Vuk has been in complete remission (remissio completa). All follow‑up MRI scans of the brain and spine performed in 2024, 2025 and 2026 show a stable, stationary finding, with no recurrence and no dissemination of the disease.

Despite successful oncological treatment, Vuk has been diagnosed with tetraplegia (G82.3 Tetraplegia flaccida), which requires continuous and intensive rehabilitation to improve his motor and functional abilities.

Funds are needed for physical therapy, medications, supplements, and transportation costs during treatment.
