Borivoje has been diagnosed with a mixed specific developmental disorder (F83 Disordines evolutionis specifici mixti). During the diagnostic‑therapeutic process at the Children’s Day Hospital “Prof. Dr. Svetomir Bojanin,” significant difficulties were identified in the areas of communication, reciprocal social interaction, emotional regulation and attention, accompanied by stereotyped behavioral patterns.

Borivoje shows delays in speech and language development, brief and inconsistent eye contact, and selectively responds when called by name. His speech consists of simple, often agrammatic and dyslalic sentences. He demonstrates solitary play, lining up objects, prolonged gazing at items, peripheral vision, vocal stereotypies and intense reactions to frustration. Adaptive functioning is below the expected level for his age, particularly in the domains of socialization and communication.

During hospitalization, psychological, speech‑language, special‑education and genetic assessments were conducted. Psychological testing indicates average developmental capacities, but significantly reduced adaptive functioning. Speech‑language and special‑education evaluations confirm difficulties in communication, attention, play organization, emotional self‑regulation and social engagement.

Borivoje requires continuous, intensive therapeutic support, including speech‑language therapy, special‑education interventions, work on communication development, attention, emotional regulation, sensory integration, as well as daily stimulation within a peer group.

Funds are needed for speech‑language and special‑education treatments, sensory integration therapy, psychomotor rehabilitation, Tomatis therapy, specialist and follow‑up examinations, psychological treatments, as well as stem‑cell therapy.
