is raising funds for Milorad Stanković (2015).

Milorad has been diagnosed with dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (Q81.2 – Epidermolysis bullosa hereditaria dystrophica recessiva), a severe and rare inherited skin disorder commonly known as “butterfly children disease.” Genetic testing identified two variants in the COL7A1 gene associated with this condition.

Milorad’s skin is extremely fragile and prone to the formation of blisters and wounds. Numerous blisters and erosions are present on the skin of his neck, trunk, and extremities, accompanied by severe itching. Due to the nature of the disease, his skin and wounds require careful daily care and regular dressing and wound management.

Milorad has faced numerous challenges caused by this severe disease since early childhood. When he was only three years old, he lost his mother. Today, he is surrounded by the love and care of his family, who do everything they can every day to provide him with adequate care, treatment, and the best possible quality of life.

Epidermolysis bullosa requires specialized care, appropriate medical materials and products, as well as regular medical check-ups and professional healthcare. The costs of treatment and daily care place a significant financial burden on the family.

The funds are needed for treatment and medical care abroad, specialist and diagnostic examinations, medical supplies, specialized dressings and adhesive tapes, medical creams and skincare products, medications and supplements, a special diet, as well as travel and accommodation expenses during treatment.
