is raising funds for Ivana Nedeljković (1961).

Ivana has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease (G20 Morbus Parkinsoni), with left‑sided predominance.

Over time, the disease has progressed to an advanced stage, accompanied by motor fluctuations, wearing‑off phenomena, intermittent freezing episodes during walking, axial instability, and a significant impact on independence and safety of movement. Clinical findings indicate hypomimia, bradykinesia, hypokinesia of the left extremities, resting tremor of the left hand, rigidity, and global slowness of movement.

Ivana is treated with combined antiparkinsonian therapy, which has been adjusted multiple times to achieve optimal symptom control and reduce adverse effects, including peripheral edema, motor oscillations, and a sensation of heaviness in the legs. Despite treatment, her functional status strongly depends on timely medication intake, with worsening gait and increased slowness toward the end of each dosing interval.

Based on current neurological assessments, preserved cognitive function, and pronounced motor fluctuations, Ivana has been evaluated as an appropriate candidate for Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS). This procedure is a standardized therapeutic option for advanced Parkinson’s disease, aimed at stabilizing motor function, reducing fluctuations, and improving daily functioning.

Due to the high cost of treatment abroad, it is necessary to raise funds to enable continuation of care.

Funds are required for DBS surgery, travel expenses, and accommodation costs during treatment.
