Luka was prematurely born in the 25th week of twin pregnancy got by in vitro fertilization.

At birth, Luka had only 980 grams and was extremely immature; unfortunately his twin sister lived for only three days. He spent seven months at the Institute of Neonatology mostly in incubator. Due to the brain hemorrhage he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. In order to avoid hydrocephalus doctors implanted shunt.

After six months spent in the incubator, and a month more spent in the hospital, he had several operations and was finally released to go home.

After leaving the hospital Luka continued with treatments and physical therapies. After three and a half years and long and hard work he succeeded to strengthen his head and body posture, to start sitting occasionally on his own and crawling around the house. He uses only left arm and the official diagnosis is a spastic diplegia. In addition to all this, Luka also has a strabismus that needs to be operated.

At the end of 2016, spasm in both legs increased, limiting him in exercises for standing and walking, for that reason he was operated in Russia with a special method of phased (step-by-step) fibrotomia last year in November.

This gentle boy understands everything but speaks only few words, he uses gestures, but he bravely moves towards his better future.

Boy’s parents gave everything they have had, so they need our help.

In order to improve the condition of this brave boy, we need to raise donations for therapies, surgery in Russia, hippo therapy, speech therapies, and other different aids.
