Due to prolonged birth, Daria was without oxygen for a while. After that, she spent 21 days in the incubator and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and epilepsy.

In the first few months, there were no clear signs of illness, later, as the baby developed, parents had a suspicion that something was wrong, because Darija had difficulties with  balance, insufficiently coordinated movements due to weak muscles and poor reaction to the environment.

The first  epileptic seizure occurred when she was six, at that time she had spasms and foam from her mouth. The seizure lasted almost 4 minutes. Since then, after applied  therapy, seizures have occurred less often, mainly in sleep.

Darija is intellectually preserved, speaks but she cannot  walk or sit for a long time without support. There is a long-standing process that consists of operations, rehabilitation, equipment and further treatment for which the family has exhausted all  funds.
