When he was seven months old Mihailo was taken to the doctor  because his stomach was enlarged on the left side. Unfortunately, ultrasound confirmed that he had a massive tumor on the left kidney. A series of chemotherapy followed to reduce the tumor, and then the surgery to remove the left kidney.

Little Mihailo heroically went through the painful chemotherapy and won a battle with kidney malignancy. The treatment was completed and he regularly has medical examinations once in a three months.

However, due to intensive treatment, closer analysis found that Mihailo’s hearing was completely damaged. Now he needs the implantation of a Cochlear implant. Unfortunately, National Health Insurance Fund covers expenses only for one implant, while the cost of the other exceeds family income.
