Balša was born in 2016 and immediately upon arrival to this world the problems aose. He was born with spina bifida, which means that a spinal cord did not form properly, remained open in a certain place and where a benign tumor formed. He had a surgery for that reason when he was six months old.

Also, after the birth, a deformation of the left foot and a luxation of the left hip was detected. So when he was only ten days old he had the first intervention, after which he had the whole leg in the plaster cast . Until his second month, he wore Pavlik's belts for the hips. Then he had first operation - Achilles tendon surgery. For the next six weeks, he had a plaster cast again, and in the period of recovery he wore shoes with a bar.

Little Balša has been to the hospital for nine times, it has almost replaced his home.

Unfortunately, that's not all. Balša has hemangioma on the whole left gluteal part, and congenital horseshoe kidney too. This means that the lower parts of kidneys are connected by a bridge and that the kidneys are more susceptible to infections. In August 2017, he got the first urinary infection and since then he has been constantly taking antibiotics. There is a risk of kidney infection, and if that happened, Balsa would have to go for dialysis. Doctors in Serbia propose catheterization, and then the discharge of the catheter would have to be done every three hours, permanently.

This cheerful boy deserves a carefree childhood outside the hospital, in his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
