Description

Humanitarian Foundation BUDI HUMAN - Aleksandar Šapić

raises funds for Željko Šanta (2008).

Željko is a boy who had a happy and carefree childhood. He was looking forward to going to school, and just before that, parents noticed changes in his right eye. After several weeks of tests at the Institute for Mother and Child in Novi Sad, he was diagnosed with Uveitis.

He was treated for two years at the Novi Sad Polyclinic, but the disease progressed at a high speed and doctors had no solution. From constant inflammation, the disease spread to the wrists and he was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.

In 2017, in the Ophthalmology Clinic "Eliksir" in Novi Sad, Russian doctors finally  give answers to the questions about the disease, but it was already late because a long-term inflammation developed a cataract in the right eye.

Željko had surgery in Russia in July 2017, but now due to frequent inflammation and the  disease itself, he must have surgery again - Vitrectomy with silicone oil tamponade on the right eye and the possibility of introducing Ozurdex.

Željko has an older brother with cerebral palsy and due to the large financial expenses for the treatment, parents are not able to collect money for his surgery without support.

Help Željko!

For Željko to have a better view of this world! Let's be humane!
