Until 2015, Dejan had a normal life but after a regular medical examination for his driver's license it was found out that he had visual field narrowing. Two years later, he was diagnosed with Choroideremia.

The disease is genetic and progressive and in most cases, eventually, leads to blindness. Dejan's driver's license was revoked, so as his ability to find a job. He found the solution at the Elixir Eye Clinic, where doctors gave him hope that the disease could be kept under control and that he would be able to continue a normal life as well as play a sport what was of great importance to him.

Laser acupuncture therapies have been very successful so far and the disease is not progressing. Since there is no permanent solution for the disease, these therapies are necessary to repeat every three months.
