Irina is the second twin from the first pregnancy, born prematurely in the sixth month. Irina's sister, unfortunately, did not survive. After birth, she was transferred to the Institute of Neonatology, where she spent 52 hours on mechanical ventilation, and then 26 on oxygen therapy.

Irina was so small that she could fit in a palm, with only 880 grams. She fought for her life for two months with numerous complications, and doctors from other countries were coming to see her because they did not believe it was possible.

Her diagnosis is spastic diplegic cerebral palsy. It's time for Irina to go to school, and her legs "don't obey her very well."

Irina needs funds for the continuation of treatment, specialist examinations, rehabilitation, for physical treatments, laboratory analyzes and medicines.

She needs our help to continue her endless battle and to spread her victorious smile throughout the world, because, as her mom and dad say, now the world needs her smile more  than ever.
