raises funds for Jakov Dučić (2018).

Jakov was born as the third child in his family, after a regular pregnancy. At birth, he was graded nine, but after seven months, his mother noticed that he did not develop as he should. After analysis with geneticists, Jacob was officially diagnosed  with spinal muscular atrophy, type 2 when he was eleven months old.

SMA is a rare and progressive neuromuscular disease. It manifests as a gradual but progressive muscle atrophy and loss of basic life functions, such as walking, swallowing, digestion and breathing.

These are exactly the majority of the problems that have appeared, or begin to happen to Jakov.

Since he is still very young, disease progress slowly, but the initial respiratory problems,  inability to stand and walk have been diagnosed already.

In order to maintain his condition, self-breathing and to enable himself to sit independently, Jakov needs numerous equipment - breathing apparatus, aspirator, oximeter, verticaliser, rehabilitation, physical therapy and treatment abroad too.
