Una was born after regularly controlled pregnancy. She was very small at birth, so she spent some time in an incubator. At that time, no one was aware that Una would have great difficulties in development.

At the first check-up at the Health Center, the pediatrician suspected craniostenosis and gave an urgent referral to a neurosurgeon. Since that day, Una has regularly been visiting all children's clinics in Belgrade.

She began with various tests and imaging, and after the second magnetic resonance imaging, the diagnosis was confirmed - a malformation on the cerebellum of Dandy Walker, which caused Microcephaly.

Physical and occupational therapies  started immediately and later a speech therapist and a special educator got involved.

Her muscle tone is very weak. Una still does not sit, crawl or speak. She still eats pureed food, and at the same time she is allergic to milk protein, so she is limited by her diet. It was determined that her eyesight is weaker, so VEP has been done three times so far.

Una needs daily work with a physiotherapist and speech therapist. She also needs funds for physical therapies, orthopedic aids, hippo and hydrotherapies, spa rehabilitation, medications and supplements, stem cell treatment and physical therapy abroad and  she needs funds for travelling and accommodation costs.

Una has an older brother whom she adores and who equally participates, together with her parents, in daily home treatments and stimulations so that his sister can walk and talk as soon as possible.
