raises funds for Teodora Neuročni (2018).

 

Teodora was born with a lot of complications after birth, so she was transferred from Sombor to intensive care in Novi Sad.

 

The birth was very difficult, because she was a big baby she weighed 4950gr, born naturally. In the first minutes, she did not breathe, the green amniotic fluid was resorbed and reanimated. In the second minute she started crying. Birth grade was 6/7/8.

 

During the birth, due to all other complications, the nerve plexus of the left arm was injured and the arm remained completely paralyzed (plexus brachialis).

 

In the first year she started with hard struggle, daily exercises, visits to a neonatologist and a physiatrist. Before the first birthday, Teodora got abundant stools, it was difficult to get a diagnosis and she also had dehydration and severe acidosis, but she defeated it heroically. She was diagnosed with celiac disease, an autoimmune disease for life, gluten-free food and a lifelong visit to a gastroenterologist.

 

In the second year, she continued to practice bravely and managed to train her shoulder and elbow, but the condition of her hand remains unchanged. She is still  far behind. In order to get her hand function and be able to train it, she needs neurorehabilitation with robotics in the country and abroad. Funds are also needed for treatment in spas, physical therapy, specialist examinations, orthopedic aids, laboratory analyzes, rehabilitation abroad and financial help to cover travelling and accommodation costs.
