raises funds for Emilija Damljanović (2014).

 

Emilija was born from a twin pregnancy and has a twin sister. The pregnancy was maintained normally and carefully, because of in vitro fertilization. They were born in the thirty-sixth week, by caesarean section. They were graded eight at birth. Emilija weighed 2,100 grams and her sister 2,750 grams.

 

After the pediatrician's examination, Emilija was detected with a physiological murmur of the heart. After only a few days after leaving the maternity hospital, she started crying constantly. She was urgently transported  to the University Children’s Hospital Tiršova, where it was determined that she had two heart anomalies. After a while, she was operated on two times in a few days. After a hospital recovery, she was discharged home.

 

As time passed, the parents noticed that the child had a slight developmental delay. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy too.

 

So far, the family has financed her daily work with professionals. But now they need our help. Emiljia needs funds for physical and special education treatments, orthopedic aids, medications and supplements, laboratory analyzes, rehabilitation in spas, and for accommodation costs during therapies out of the place of residence.
