raises funds for Magdalena Nedeljković (2014).

 

Magdalena was born as a healthy child from a normal pregnancy. When she was eight months old, she had his first epileptic seizure, after which she was diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis. Tuberous sclerosis is a multisystem disease caused by a gene mutation.

 

It is a rare , incurable and extremely unpredictable disease, because everyone has different symptoms ranging from mild to complete dysfunction and various forms of mental retardation.

 

Magdalena has many problems. Primarily, there are many benign changes in the cerebral cortex and in the brain itself,  which cause a large number of epileptic seizures every day, and which have been impossible to heal for five years. After many therapy changes and the use of four different medicines at the time, she still has seizures and now has drug-resistant epilepsy.

 

In addition to the changes in the brain, there are angiomyolipomas on both kidneys, which increase as the years go by. With all that, Magdalena delays in psychomotor development. She needs treatments by a special educator and a speech therapist every day.

 

Now, it is the most important to visit  the TCH clinic in Houston  for additional sophisticated diagnostic examinations that will help decide which surgery and procedure can help Magdalena. Funds are necessary for the operation, travelling and accommodation costs.

 

Magdalena is a cheerful girl, full of love for everyone. Let's help Magdalena get a chance for a happier childhood and a better  life.
