raises funds for Nađa Đerović (2017).

 

Nađa was born after a properly maintained and controlled pregnancy. She was born in Čačak on 8 November 2017 by emergency cesarean section in the thirtieth gestational week of pregnancy. Her weight was only 1550 grams. Immediately after her birth, she was resuscitated and transferred to the Institute of Neonatology in Belgrade, where she spent 72 days. Premature birth and inadequate transport to the institute resulted in a diagnosis of cerebral palsy.

 

After leaving the hospital, Nađa started daily physical therapy. So far, she has been treated at the Koviljača Spa, the Trepča Spa, the Special Hospital for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Neurology, and the Scientific Research Center in Moscow.  Nađa also had two surgical interventions, craniosynostosis surgery at the age of one and Ulzibat’s fibrotomy at the age of three.

 

Despite the numerous problems she faces every day, she is a very happy, talkative and smiling girl who loves kindergarten and friends with whom she spends time when she is not exercising physical therapy.

 

So far, her family has managed somehow the costs required by this type of treatment, which are considerable. In order to persist in her struggle and start walking independently, Nađa needs funds for physical therapy, speech therapy and defectology treatments, neurorehabilitation with robotics abroad, specialist examinations and funds to cover travelling and accommodation costs.
