raises funds for Lazar Arsenić (2012).

 

Lazar was born healthy. The first problems arose when he was a year and a half old and then his struggle began. At the age of less than two, Lazar was diagnosed with autism. Since then, he has started with special education and speech therapy treatments. He was included in a hospital’s stimulating work program for children with developmental problems. He regularly goes to the hyperbaric chamber, uses various supplements and homeopathic medicines.

 

After psychological testing in 2017, Lazar was diagnosed with moderate retardation. Magnetic resonance imaging also revealed damage to the brain centers for comprehension and speech (cortical and subcortical reductive changes diffuse fronto-temporo-parietal bilaterally). 

The only hope for Lazar's parents are stem cell treatments that stimulate "dormant" parts of the brain and help with speech. Neurofeedback therapies also stimulate certain centers and the results are outstanding. There is no cure for autism, but his condition and the quality of life can be improved with intensive treatments that are extremely expensive.

 

The time is not on  his side  because he is now 8 years old and big changes can be expected while the brain is in the development phase. Lazar needs funds for stem cell treatments, specialist and control examinations, special education and speech therapy treatments, hippotherapy, hyperbaric chamber, neurofeedback treatments, travelling and accommodation costs.

 

Parents ask all generous people to help as much as they can so that Lazar can speak up  as soon as possible.
