Maja was born after a properly maintained pregnancy. At the very beginning, everything seemed fine, until her mother noticed, when Maja was 5 months old, that something was wrong with her development. The movements were slow and reluctant. She couldn't turn around, her arms were clenched and her head control was weak.

Specialist examinations and diagnostics were done at the Children's Clinic in Novi Sad. Maja got Dg. J158 Pneumonia bacterialis alia (bacterial pneumonia) and Dg. G409 Epilepsy. The first epileptic seizures began when Maja was less than two years old. Since then, she has been using therapy to reduce it. CT showed brain damage.

For the last seven years, parents have tried everything to help their child. They took her to physical therapy in Szeged, to various treatments in the hope that Maja would walk, but unfortunately, there was no progress. Maja is not able to sit up, walk or feed herself.

There is a clinic in Barcelona where Maja could have laser surgery to help her progress. The parents have exhausted all resources for Maja's treatment and now they need the help of all of us.

Maya needs funds for surgery and travelling and accommodation costs.
