Ahmed had been hospitalized since his birth due to swallowing problems and for additional testing due to many diagnoses - narrowing of the pulmonary artery, multiple congenital anomalies, defect of the heart atrium, developmental retardation, chronic respiratory insufficiency.

While he was in hospital due to inadequate swallowing and muscle weakness, chronic respiratory insufficiency  Ahmed was tracheotomized, and since then, mechanical respiratory support has been carried out for 24 hours.

This little boy can not sit, see, hear or respond to the environment. Considering the nature of the disease, Ahmed needs breathing support with mechanical ventilation for 24 hours a day.

Ahmed has been at home since the beginning of 2019. For the home treatment, parents, with the help of humane people, managed to provide a respirator, oxygen concentrator, an aspirator, an electricity generator, and many other things that are necessary for Ahmed to live without further and greater complications.

He is in bed constantly, he is fed through percutaneous gastrostomy in the stomach, he needs constant care, which is especially difficult in smaller towns where doctors and hospital staff have not yet met with such patients in practice. The extensive research has not yet established the etiology of Ahmed’s disease .

Ahmed still needs funds for continuing home care, especially for servicing the devices, for replacing them regularly and for all other medical supplies and medications.
