raises funds for Andrija Jovića (2004)

Andrija was a long-time water polo player and graduated from the Sports High School in Belgrade.

The injuries to the lumbar and thoracic vertebrae and the spinal cord that he had when he fell from the 6th floor of a residential building in October 2022 due to a combination of unfortunate circumstances which resulted in paraplegia (Dg. G82.0 Paraplegia flaccida).

He had two complicated spine surgeries at Military Medical Academy(MMA) where a titanium rod was implanted to support his spinal column. He spent a total of two months at the MMA, then he had four months of rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Clinic "Dr. Miroslav Zotović" in Sokobanjska.

Andrija now uses a wheelchair to move around. He has sensations in his legs and he is not giving up on his goal of walking again.

The neurorobotic rehabilitation that is being carried out at a clinic abroad gives him hope that he will stand on his feet again, because after an examination at this clinic in April 2023, the doctors pointed out that the chance of recovery were only possible with intensive daily exercise and stimulation, with the help of experts from this area.

In order to be able to continue his treatment,  Andrija needs funds for physical therapy, spa rehabilitation, neurorobotics, orthopedic and medical aids, as well as for travelling and accommodation costs during the treatment.
