Strahinja was born in term in the 38.6 th week, naturally after a controlled pregnancy due to prenatally observed ventriculomegaly of the fetus, as well as due to registered thrombocytopenia after birth, placed in an isolation unit with monitoring of vital functions.

At birth, he was diagnosed with Q03.8 Hydrocephalus congenitus alius (Other congenital hydrocephalus) and P39.8 Aliae infectiones temporis perinatalis specificae specificatae (Other marked infections specific to the perinatal period). Considering the need for a multidisciplinary approach in diagnosis and treatment, on the second day after birth, he was transferred to the Department of Neonatology at University Children Clinic.

After specialist examinations, Strahinja was diagnosed with: Spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy (G80.0 Paralysis cerebralis spastica quadriplegica).

Since the 4th month, he has been involved in various physical and speech therapy therapies, and in October 2024, he underwent fibrotomy according to Ulzibat. He moves with the help of a wheelchair pushed by another person, and he needs assistance to transfer to the bed from the wheelchair and vice versa. He does not sit or walk independently. Receptive speech and fund of knowledge are above the expected for the age, as well as logical reasoning, so the intellectual functioning was assessed at a very superior level. Although his motor skills hinder him a lot, Strahinja is a cheerful and sociable boy who wants to exercise and catch up with his peers.

Funds are needed for intensive physical therapy and rehabilitation in the country and abroad, speech therapy, neurological wheelchairs and other orthopedic aids, specialist examinations, laboratory analyses and supplements.
