Humanitarian Foundation BUDI HUMAN - Aleksandar Šapić
raises funds for Tara Mitrović (2010).
Tara was born in the 29th week of pregnancy. Although the pregnancy was maintained and risky and she was pelvic positined, she was born naturally with only 1250gr. At birth, she got a grade 8, she cried, and everything seemed to be fine.
Two hours after birth, she was transferred to Neonatology in Kragujevac, where she spent the next two and a half months. In the ninth day, Tara was disconnected from mechanical ventilation to breathe herself, but instead she stopped breathing after a while, got a crisis of consciousness, and one convulsion after another... She was returned to the mechanical ventilation but her brain had already been damaged.
The consequence were cerebral palsy and epilepsy, with which Tara has been struggling from birth. So far, she was six times in Sokobanjska Rehabilitation Center, where she stayed for 3-4 months every time. She also went to Banja Koviljaca Spa, twice in Rehabilitation Center Lipovica too ... But unfortunately, without any improvements. She had two surgeries with Russian doctors, but also without positive outcoms.
At Acibadem Clinic in Turkey, the family was told that Tara had to intensely exercise to become a candidate for the operation they were carrying out. Unfortunately, it all requires a lot of money that the family is not able to provide, because, after many years, they have exhausted all financial resources fighting for Tara’s better future.
