Ilija is the second child, from the second, regularly checked, pregnancy. He was born prematurely, in the thirty-fourth week. He was diagnosed with Spina bifida - meningomyelocele at birth. He was operated on on the first day of life , and since then the battle for his first step and a better future had begun. Ilija is a very happy, sweet child, full of positive energy, always cheerful and smiling, despite all the problems.

He does exercises every day and does all the check-ups, he has had two stem cell transplants but another one is needed too. He also needs neurological rehabilitation, physical therapy, orthopedic aids, specialist examinations, medications, supplements, medical supplies and funds for travelling and accommodation costs.
